When setting up a duel against a computer opponent, there are plenty of elements about the dual that can be changed to ones liking. The Quick fight setup screen is available in a simple and pro version, allowing you to choose how much of these elements you want access to.

In simple mode, the only game type available is the default 'Single duel'. You can choose a deck for yourself and for your opponent, and either deck can be one that you created before or one that's generated by the game. Note, that if you let the computer opponent player with a deck you created, you have no chance of winning cards, but doing so allows you to test your own decks. To change your or your opponent's deck, click the 'choose your deck' or 'choose a deck for opponent' buttons in the top panel, then you can edit the deck of either player in the second panel.
The difficulty of the duel depends on the strength setting of opponent's deck, ranging from 1 to 7. In the third panel, you can also increase the opponent's base HP or give the opponent stronger ships. This will increase the difficulty of duel, but will also increase your chances of being awarded a card when you win the duel.

You can switch to pro mode by using the button in the 3rd panel (and you can switch back to simple from pro mode, by using the tiny 'simple' button in the top right corner of the pro mode screen). Pro mode allows you to add Deck Mods and Environments to your duel as well as choose between several different game types. In this mode, you also have access to a number of presets that allow you to save your favorite game setups.

The next two sections in this help section will tell you more about Deck Mods and Environments and about the different game types.

If you wish to add Deck Mods or Environments to your duel against a computer opponent, make sure you have switched to 'pro mode' first. If the setup screen is in simple mode, the button to switch to pro mode is located in the 3rd panel (the 'settings' panel).

Deck Mods can be added to both sides in a duel, these affect only one player at a time and up to 3 can be active at once. To add a deck mod to a player, click the small 'edit' buttons near the 'Mod' entries, in the top panel of the quick fight setup screen (while in pro mode). Doing so will bring up a new panel in the middle of the screen, where you can browse all available deck mods. Various mods also have additional settings which can be changed in this panel.

Deck Mods can be added to the computer opponent to increase the general difficulty level of the duel. Or you can add some mods for yourself to help your deck against a stronger opponent. Adding Deck Mods to your opponent increases the chance of winning cards when you win the duel. Deck Mods applied to yourself will slightly lower the chance to win cards, but since you might be able to take on stronger opponents this way, the end result might be an increase in your chance to be victorious and an increase in your chance to win cards.

Environments affect both players equally, up to 3 can be active at once. To add an environment to a duel, click the small 'edit' buttons near the 'Env' entries, in the center of the top panel of the quick fight setup screen (while in pro mode). Doing so will bring up a new panel in the middle of the screen, where you can browse all available environments.

Environments allow you to simulate various areas of space where in the duel might take place.

If you wish to play other quick fight game types, make sure you have switched to 'pro mode' first. If the setup screen is in simple mode, the button to switch to pro mode is located in the 3rd panel (the 'settings' panel).

To change the game type, click the top 'edit' button in the 'Game type' panel (located in the center of the top panel of the screen). Doing so will bring up the game type selector in the second panel, where you can use the arrow buttons to browse the different game types. Below you'll find a short description of all available game types.

Single Duel : this the default duel against a computer opponent. You win if you can reduce your opponent's base HP to zero, but you lose if your opponent can do the same to you.

Marathon : this is a never-ending series of fights against a computer opponent, but with each duel, your opponent gets stronger (but you also have more chance to win cards). The game keeps track of your highest level and will allow you to start from a higher level the next time you play a Marathon game.

Guardian : you start the game with a single ship in play, if this ship is destroyed or leaves play through any means, you are defeated. You can choose what size of ship you start the game with.

Survival : the computer opponent's base can not be damaged in any way, but it will lose 1 HP every round. The aim is to survive long enough for the computer's base to reach zero HP. If your deck runs out of cards, your scrapyard will be shuffled back into your deck.

Tutorial : choose this option if you want to play through the tutorial again.

Player Created : this option allows you to browse & play challenges created by other players.
